My classmates and I payed for the two field trips we are gonna make to Port Dickson and to FRIM for some of our practicals on Biodiversity.I have to say I am really looking forward to these field trips because I want to experience doing field work as I may do for my job next time.
I also chose a topic for my Communication in Science individual assignment, "El Nino: Past,Present and Future".I chose this topic because it was different from most of the other topics given and I think it is quite unique and it intrigues me.It is basically an anomaly that happens in the Pacific Ocean caused by strong winds.
Also for Communication in Science,we had to group up into groups of two for the poster creation assignment.So I partnered up with Lee Mei Yee from Food Science and Nutrition doing the topic on "Roles of Dehydration in Food Processing and Dehydrated Food" since we thought it would be easier than the "El Nino" topic for a poster.

Journey Through Degree #1
26th-28th August 2013 (Orientation Week) :
I attended the orientation for my course,the School of Biosciences,my first week in degree.As in a normal orientation,we had many introductions to the University itself though I had been here for a year taking my Foundation already and also many workshops for us to learn more about what the university offers outside of the course.
29th-30th August 2013 :
Attended my first few classes of my degree life.Biostatistics was the first class,it was a lecture and on the next day also Biostatistics but tutorial.In the tutorial,we were given our first assignment and I had to find a group and come out with a topic that we could make a data table about.I managed to find a group with two girls who were in the same course as me which was Biotechnology.We discussed and we managed to decide on a topic which was "Brands of smartphones used by Bioscience students".We have yet to carry out the assignment.
